MEX - INEGI LiDAR DEM 5m

High-resolution Digital Elevation Models at 5-meter resolution from INEGI (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía), Mexico.

High-resolution Digital Elevation Models at 5-meter resolution from INEGI (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía), Mexico.

Not the CEM: This collection holds INEGI's Modelos Digitales de Elevación de Alta Resolución, derived from airborne lidar and high-resolution stereo-photogrammetry (the source method varies by tile). It is a distinct product from the nationwide 15 m Continuo de Elevaciones Mexicano (CEM), which is interpolated from contour lines and other sources.

Source & method: Airborne lidar and high-resolution stereo-photogrammetry (method varies by tile). The terrain model (DTM / Modelo Digital de Terreno) represents bare earth; the surface model (DSM / Modelo Digital de Superficie) includes vegetation, buildings and infrastructure.

Products: DTM (terreno) and DSM (superficie).

Resolution: 5 m ground sample distance.

Coordinate reference: ITRF2008 (GRS80) UTM zones 11N–16N per tile (EPSG:6366–6371); orthometric elevations in meters on the NAVD88 vertical datum (EPSG:5703), per INEGI's Norma Técnica del Sistema Geodésico Nacional (DOF 2010-12-23, Art. 15).

Redistribution: Republished by Darly under INEGI's Términos de Libre Uso. The source data has been re-hosted as Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs and may have been reprojected or reformatted from INEGI's original distribution. This is not an official INEGI product and does not represent an official position of INEGI. Source: INEGI.
